Indoor water-playground
You will find our indoor-waterplayground next to the reception of the Paardekreek. This water-playground is meant for children until the age of 10 years. There is a slide for the older kids. For the smallest, there is a shallow bath with play-facilities. For the adults there is a little wellness-area with sauna. If you´d like to know more, and see some pictures of the in and outside, look at ´new in 2011´on the page ´welcome´.
De Paardekreek has a high score!
On several websites you, as a guest, can give your opininon about our holiday-resort. Villapark de Paardekreek has a very high score! For example, on the website of Bungalows.nl, our villapark has a score of 8 out of 10. And via the webstite of Zoover, an independant website, we have a score of 8.4 out of 10. For the villas, we score 8.8 out of 10. And on the website of Eurorelais, for the villas you, as a guest, gave us a score of 9.4. Ofcourse there will always be things to improve, we are always open for suggestions. But these figures sure make us proud!
De Paardekreek has been nominated for Camping of the year 2010!
De Paardekreek has been nominated by the members of the 'ANWB' (the dutch royal tourist bond), as company with the best accomodations for rent, together with one other dutch company, one spanish and one italian company. We are really proud to be judged this way by our guests, and we hope that your stay with us will be a same experience.
The 'Grand café' is located on one of the most beautiful locations on the lake 'Veerse meer'.
The Grand Café is located at the top of the Havenkade, at the side of the campsite of de Paardekreek.
The restaurant is open every day from 10:00 to 23:00.

From december 19, there will be a skating rink for children on the terrace of the Grand Café!
Have some sailing lessons?
On the Paardekreek, we have a sailing school where your children can learn how to sail. Children from the age of 8, up to 12 years old will have their first lessons in the Optimist sailing boat. A swimming certificate and the ability to read are prerequisites. The wearing of swimming jackets is mandatory, and these are provided by the sailing school. You will thus quickly learn the basic principles of sailing.
Lessons are also given to larger/adult students. These lessons are given in a Centaur sailing boat. This a 4-person sailing boat, with a keel. The vessel has a mainsail and a jib. The Centaur can sail further than the Optimist, because it has a larger sail area and is bigger.
The lesson times:
In the morning, we start at 09:00until 12:30
In the afternoon, we start at 13:30 until 17:00
The lessons take place from mondag until friday. You can make a reservation via the reception.
The Optimist as well as the Centaur can be rented. The Optimist boats are only rented in the afternoon, because they are usually used for lessons in the morning. A deposit is payable for the rented boat. Before sailing away on the boat, report to the sailing school, and when you are ready, you should also report to the sailing school so that the boat can be checked.
Sloop-boat race on the lake ' Veerse meer'
Every year in September, the annual sloopboat-race takes place. This is a real happening, well known in the environment! There will be an afternoon- and an eveningrace. Particularly the eveningrace is very nice to watch, in the dark you can see all the lighted and decorated boats. You are also very welcome to join the party afterwards.
