The village Kortgene
you can reach this nice little village in 5 minutes by foot. You will find a nice bakery with many products of the region, 2 butcheries, a supermarket and a shop with assorted goods. You can make a walk around the village, maps you can get at the reception. Also, in the mainstreet, there are a lot of terraces, some pubs and eateries, like luxues restaurants and snackbars.
Lake Veerse Meer
The lake 'Veere Meer' is a water sports paradise par excellence. This former, 22 km long estuary running from the Zandkreekdam in the east to the Veersegatdam in the west. This lake has no flow and is ideal for all small forms of water sports. Because of the shallow banks is also suitable for swimmers and surfers. Waterskiing, wakeboarding, sailing, fishing and diving are possible. From the campsite there is a beach and 200 meters westward is a beachfront built. Around the lake is a beautiful cycle of 65 km length, in the summer sailing between Kamperland and Veere and Kortgene Wolphaartsdijk and ferries, which this route can be shortened.
The area is ideal for beautiful walks and voluminous nature, some with unique flora and fauna, interspersed with views of a wide polder landscape, make this a wonderful experience. Walking and cycling routes along the most beautiful spots.
Old cities
There are several nice old cities to visit in the environment. For example, the old cities Goes, Veere, Middelburg and Zierikzee. Also, several known cities in Belgium are easily reachable. The reception-staff can tell you when and where the weekmarkets will be. During the summertimes, there is a lot to do, see and experience in the cities in the neighboorhoud.
The beach
The nearest beach on the Norh Sea beach from the villapark you will reach in 10 minutes by car. The nice large beach of the 'Banjaard' has a lenght of 3 kilometers, and has on several places a width of 500 meters. There are good sanitations one more places near the beach.
At the reception, you can hire a nice little 'beach-house' on the beach of the 'Banjaard'. You can hire this 'beach-house' for a week, from saturdaymorning until friday-evening. The price of €60 includes 2 beach-chairs, 1 windshield, a coach and a table.
